FULL OF HOT AIR

What an incredible experience I had Monday! 2flyus.com invited CBS 5 to do the weather live from a hot air balloon. At first I was a bit nervous, but after meeting our pilot Kevin Flanagen, I knew we were in safe hands. Kevin has over 20 years of flying experience and is one of the best balloon pilots in the country. He taught us the in's and out's of ballooning and told us his most embarrassing landing... A NUDEST CAMP! If you are looking for a customized gift of a life time, 2 Fly Us is who you want to contact. They have different flights you can choose from, flying at dawn or sunset, or a customized flight for your group.

We took off at about 6:15 am, and did the weather live in the air about 1,200 feet above Chandler. Kevin made it look so simple, and I was amazed how peaceful and quiet it was. If you would like to schedule a trip of a lifetime, I recommend a trip in a hot air balloon. I was also amazed how affordable it was, they have pkg's starting at $165.00 per person... Not bad for a big time adventure! We landed smoothly around 7:30 and I am happy to say everyone had all their clothes on.

Look Out For The Flu!

What a weekend. My parents were here in town to visit me and to see the Oregon Ducks play in Tucson. I am originally from Portland, Oregon, and my whole family LOVES the Ducks. One of the reasons I love living here is we are in the Pac 10 conference, and the Ducks come and play here in Arizona at least once a year. This visit wasn't good for the Ducks. U of A was a better team, and there went our hopes for a national championship. Now I'm rooting for the Sun Devils, the Rose Bowl is looking like a strong possibility! In fact, we will be live at Sun Devil Stadium on Thursday getting ready for the big game against USC.

I felt horrible, not only did my parents endure a tough loss, but I got the flu over the weekend... Start taking your vitamins folks! What I experienced over the weekend was HORRIBLE! I don't usually get sick, but this flu bug hit me hard, and I hear it's going around... Sore throat, stuffed nose, fever, YIKES. I had so many great things to show them about my new home, but I had to take it easy. I did tough out a visit to Scottsdale for Artfest. LOVED IT.! They had great entertainment and I picked up a few gifts for the family. If you haven't been to Artfest before, I strongly recommend it... Have a great week and we'll see you tomorrow starting at 4:30!
